SISERA Greece, Project Coordinator
S.I.S.E.R.A. Greece (Social, Innovative, Sustainable and Educational Research Association in Greece) is a non-profit, accredited organization in Adult Education and Youth. Our mission is to democratize access to education, research, and opportunities, while promoting sustainability, innovation, and inclusion. We strive to create a society where everyone, regardless of background, has the tools to grow personally, professionally, and socially. Our vision is to address current educational, social, cultural, and environmental challenges by developing collaborative frameworks that foster democratic participation, respect for diversity, and active citizenship. Education for sustainable development, support for environmental initiatives, and contributions to social change are key pillars of our work. Guided by European values, we aim to empower communities, strengthen European identity, and reduce inequalities, with special attention to young people, vulnerable groups, and marginalized communities.
Our organization conducts a wide range of activities in research, education, and social innovation. We design and implement scientific research projects, develop training methodologies, and produce educational resources across multiple fields. We run non-formal and vocational education programs that equip individuals with practical skills for lifelong learning and workforce readiness. SISERA promotes volunteering, supports social initiatives, and implements cultural and environmental projects. Our staff deliver courses and in-service training for teachers, educators, and youth workers, with a focus on intercultural competence, inclusion, and digital innovation. We also coordinate pedagogical initiatives, organize workshops, and contribute to European projects such as Erasmus+, Creative Europe, Horizon, CERV, eTwinning, and international networks. Special emphasis is placed on digital literacy, inclusive education policies, social awareness, bullying prevention, autism support, and climate action. Through these initiatives, SISERA empowers individuals and communities, while fostering collaboration with schools, NGOs, universities, local authorities, and businesses.
SISERA brings together experts from multiple disciplines, including education, ICT, applied mathematics, international and European studies, and environmental sciences. Our expertise spans educational and social research, project coordination and evaluation, curriculum design, and the development of innovative learning methodologies. We specialize in digital skills training, inclusive education, sustainability, and intercultural learning. Our team has extensive experience in Erasmus+ and other EU-funded projects, with strong capacities in project-based teaching, policy development, and international cooperation. Members are proficient in several languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish), and highly skilled in ICT, e-learning, and digital outreach tools. We are also experienced in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, conducting applied research, and producing impact assessments. This expertise enables us to lead innovative projects like CREDIT, which integrates green and circular economy principles into business through digital solutions.
Our work is designed to serve a wide range of target groups at local, national, and European levels. These include students, teachers, youth workers, educators, adult learners, and professionals seeking to enhance their digital, social, or environmental competences. We support vulnerable and marginalized groups, including young people at risk of school dropout, individuals with fewer opportunities, and communities facing social or economic challenges. Families, parents’ associations, NGOs, and local stakeholders also benefit from our initiatives, particularly in areas such as inclusive education, intercultural dialogue, and sustainability awareness. Businesses and entrepreneurs are targeted through projects that promote green skills, digital solutions, and circular economy approaches. By engaging civil society organizations, public authorities, and European networks, we ensure our projects reach diverse communities and foster social change, inclusion, and innovation across sectors.
SISERA maintains a strong network of collaborations both locally and internationally. In Greece, we work closely with universities, scientific organizations, schools, NGOs, youth centers, and local consultants across various fields. At the European level, we are active participants in Erasmus+ initiatives and international collaborations such as Teachers4Europe and Pestalozzi. Our projects involve cooperation with public bodies, municipalities, and associations dedicated to social and environmental causes. Through these partnerships, we co-develop training methodologies, educational materials, and innovative practices that promote digital literacy, inclusion, sustainability, and social engagement. We also contribute to networks focused on youth empowerment, green skills, and circular economy. By engaging with these partnerships, SISERA maximizes the reach and impact of its work, ensuring knowledge exchange, best practices, and lasting connections within the European and global educational community.

The Association is the promoter of the Festival della Progettazione Europea | European Projects Festival (www.europeanprojectsfestival.eu ), the first major Italian event dedicated to the field of European projects.
The main activity of Officine Europa is the planning, organisation, and implementation of the European Projects Festival (www.europeanprojectsfestival.eu).
The European Projects Festival is a major event that brings together people from across Europe who are interested in learning about, discussing, and exploring the key decisions and challenges shaping the future of the European Union.
The first edition took place in April 2024 in Ferrara (Italy). The Festival returned for its second edition under the title Ideas Taking Shape in Ferrara from 14 to 16 May 2025. It welcomed representatives from European institutions, universities and research centres, schools and non-profit organisations, cultural and creative industries, European project designers, professionals working in EU funding, citizens, and young people from all over Europe. It was a 3-day gathering dedicated to understanding and shaping the future of Europe through sessions led by authoritative voices and representatives of European institutions, who presented the Union’s major challenges and strategic directions. In particular, the Festival showcased concrete, successful projects that addressed these challenges, demonstrating real impact on people’s lives and communities. These initiatives inspired innovative solutions and contributed to building a better Europe. More than 40 events and 100 speakers from 15 European and third countries contributed to the success of the second edition.
The second main activity of Officine Europa is the design and implementation of projects in partnership with local and European stakeholders in the fields of education and training, culture and creativity, and European citizenship and values.
Although the organisation was only recently established, in October 2023, it has already secured approval for the project WE FRAME: Collective Views for Equality (GA 101196808), submitted and approved under the CERV-2024-CITIZENS-REM call.
WE FRAME reflects on and builds upon the European integration process by addressing the complexities of identity and equal rights from a gender perspective. It aims to explore and promote an intergenerational understanding of gender equality and women’s rights, as well as the impact of intersectionality on the real-life experiences of both European citizens and third-country nationals living in the EU. The consortium includes Officine Europa APS, the University of Ferrara – Department of Law, and CDS – Centro Ricerche Documentazione Studi, all based in Ferrara (Italy), along with Traces&Dreams AB (Sweden).
