CREDIT Project Begins Development of Digital Training Modules

February 25, 2026
The CREDIT project has begun developing its digital training modules as part of Activity 4. These modules will transform the project’s research and Toolkit guidance into structured learning resources supporting SMEs in the green and circular transition.

Project News

The CREDIT project has entered a new phase with the start of Activity 4: Development of Open Digital Lessons, which focuses on creating structured learning modules on green and circular economy practices for businesses and adult learners.

Following the completion of the research phase and the publication of the CREDIT Toolkit, the project consortium is now working on transforming these results into accessible digital learning content. The goal of this stage is to develop practical modules that will support organisations in understanding and applying sustainability principles in everyday business activities.

Translating research and guidance into learning materials

The digital modules are designed to build upon the insights gathered during the CREDIT research and the practical guidance provided through the Toolkit. By converting this knowledge into structured learning resources, the project aims to make sustainability training more accessible for entrepreneurs, employees, and adult education professionals.

Each module will focus on a specific topic related to sustainable business practices and the circular economy. The content will be organised in short learning units that allow users to explore individual topics independently, depending on their needs and interests.

Key themes of the modules

The learning modules will address a range of areas that are particularly relevant for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including:

  • sustainability strategy and governance
  • energy and carbon management
  • circular economy practices and materials management
  • sustainable procurement
  • green logistics and mobility
  • digital tools for sustainability
  • sustainability reporting and communication

These themes reflect the areas identified during the project’s research as important for organisations seeking to strengthen their green and digital competences.

Supporting flexible adult learning

The modules are being developed with the needs of adult learners in mind. The content will be structured to support flexible learning, allowing users to engage with individual topics without requiring extensive prior knowledge.

This approach is intended to make sustainability learning more accessible for SMEs and professionals who often have limited time to participate in long training programmes.

Next steps for the project

Once completed, the digital modules will be integrated into the CREDIT digital learning environment, where users will be able to access the training materials online. The modules will later be tested through pilot training activities involving organisations and stakeholders from the partner countries.

Through this process, the CREDIT project aims to provide practical and accessible learning resources that support the adoption of green and circular economy practices in real organisational contexts.
